Historic Todd County, Inc.’s annual membership drive is underway for 2018. You can make a donation to HTC for only $10.00 or more to become a member and support our efforts to preserve Todd County, Kentucky’s unique heritage and historic sites. Your immediate involvement is important as we try to raise matching funds for future grant projects to meet our goal of rehabilitating the second floor of the Historic 1835 Courthouse. Our plans for the future include a museum to complement the Welcome Center on the first floor. In order to make the museum handicapped accessible, we must include in our rehabilitation plans the costs related to an elevator. Obviously, that need increases the amount of money required for our efforts.
With your annual membership, you will receive an invitation to our yearly membership meeting which is currently held in May of each year. You will also receive invitations to any future fundraisers or events we sponsor.
As you are probably aware, HTC has already completed several fundraisers to increase the amount of money we have available for those future grants. We have been blessed with community support not only from Todd Countians but many other individuals and businesses who have heard of our efforts and are willing to assist us with our rehabilitation goal. If 100 individuals join HTC, we can add $1000 immediately to our funds available for those future grants. Obviously, if that number surpasses that 100 mark and heads toward 200, 500, or even 1000 new members, we will add even more to the funds readily available for matching future grants. Please know HTC has confidence we can continue to foster the support we need since the Courthouse and other historic sites are so beloved by our community and former citizens.
